Biography
Research career spanning 29 years, in phenotypic/genotypic stock structure analysis, evaluation of genetic heterogeneity and molecular taxonomy/DNA barcoding (fish, shellfish and cetaceans), genetic linkage mapping & QTL, genomic selection, molecular marker based fish hybrid identification and transgenics. Published over 100 peer reviewed papers, book, books edited and book chapters. Research guided 8 students for their Masters and Ph D. As research and administration manager focus on infrastructure development, demand-driven and farmer-friendly reorientation of research programmes, HRD with focus on enhancing work efficiency and improving work culture, development of fresh line of researchers, and strengthening national and international linkage and collaboration.
