Biography
Dr. Mohammed Ayub Hossain is an agricultural engineer, has completed PhD in 2003 from Bangladesh Agricultural University; Mymensingh, Bangladesh and postdoctoral studies from Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Potsdam, Germany in 2005-2007 under Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. At present, Dr. Hossain is the Principal Scientific Officer of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, Gazipur, Bangladesh. He has been working on drying of agricultural produces especially solar drying of fish, aquacultural machinery, postharvest machinery and renewable energy for 25 years. He has published more than 90 scientific papers in reputed journals and conference proceedings. He also wrote a book chapter on solar drying of fishery products. He is an adjunct Faculty of Banga Bondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University in Bangladesh. He has developed several machinery and technology which is using in the farmers’ field of Bangladesh. Dr. Hossain is the member of a number of professional and social societies.

Aquacultural machinery, postharvest machinery, renewable energy and drying of agricultural and fishery produces.
